Hey,
my name is Alfred Parker from Germany. I started my professional life as a toolmaker, later I´ve studied mechanical engineering. I do not want to bother anyone with details but if someone is interested, to be a toolmaker means not to produce hammers, screwdrivers or pliers or any stuff like that. A toolmaker produces tools for the industrial production, for example molds for a car roof or plastic parts like percolator- or computer-housings. Tool and device manufacturing is the foundation of any industrial serial production. To be a toolmaker means to do his job with highest perfection down to the last detail! Solutions with florist’s wire and adhesive tape are improper.
The most important properties wich let things become really well, are commitment, patience and passion. Without them I would never face any challenge; and I love challenges. Many years ago I began to play guitar in the gypsy jazz style of Django Reinhard and you can believe me, that was a real huge challenge, but now I´ve got it. It´s the same with windsurfing, another passion of me, where wind and water never excuses mistakes.
So, on the deepest level I´m still a toolmaker, trying to help people and give them orientation.
